PERRYSVILLE: Scott Palmer, a warm, generous, and sometimes rambunctious man, passed away on July 22, 2024 unexpectedly in Columbus, Ohio.
Scott was born to Steven "Gus" and Joann (Moss) Palmer on September 28, 1970. He graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1988. Scott made a living doing difficult, skilled work, including construction and directional drilling. His diligence and hard work paid off when he became a business owner, founding Palmer Enterprise. On October 27, 2014, he married Angela Bebout. Together the couple enjoyed almost a decade of marital harmony and many moments of joyous laughter.
Always the life of the party, Scott never failed to craft pranks or tease. While he was often quick with witty remarks, he was always generous with those he loved. He spoiled his nieces and nephews with candy and money, was often found orchestrating barbecues and fish fries for friends and neighbors, and was a philanthropist, supporting his community organizations in any way he could. Scott was likewise generous with his time, taking immense joy in gathering with friends and family, and giving to the community through different organizations. Scott was a fixture at the VFW, the American Legion, AMVETS, and Eagles. Although Scott was frequently busy helping others, he enjoyed the beauty of wild things, and was often found camping and hunting, or enjoying the calmness of his cabin in Loudonville.
Peace and calm were not the norm however as Scott earned the nickname "Wheels". First adopted by his big brother and friends, Scott was young enough to be coined the tag-along, following the gang everywhere until he was old enough to take part. Later the name Wheels meant so much more as Scott's MO. He loved to drive and he was known for his random off-road adventures much to the chagrin of his terrified passengers. His humor and antics may possibly be the most cherished memories for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Angie Palmer, stepsons JacksonTedrow and Cooper Tedrow (Maya Myers); mother Joann Palmer; father Gus Palmer; brother Bill (Tina) Palmer; niece Sara Palmer and her children Gage and Lily Gray; nephew Steve Palmer; special cousin Zac Palmer; mother-in-law Suzanne (Rob) Sorquist; father-in-law William "Bill" Bebout; along with many adored nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his step mother Linda Palmer, sister-in-law Bonnie Palmer.
The Palmer family invites friends and family to join them for a memorial service in honor of Scott Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 1 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. A family friend Kathy Adams will speak and visitation will follow concluding at 7 pm.
Memorial donations in honor of Scott may be made to the Clear Fork Youth League Baseball or Pony League Football programs.
