Scott W. Seering

Scott W. Seering, age 70, of Gleason, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Scott was born in Clintonville, WI, on January 5, 1955, to the late LaVern and Edna (Witt) Seering. He was the proud father to Lindsay Ann and Lauryn Ann, and was married to Barb Stalcup-O'Dowd in 2014.
Scott graduated from Clintonville High School while working as a paper boy and at the Buick Garage. After high school, he attended college at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, helping to pay his way through college by selling Christmas trees in Chicago, IL.
After college, Scott worked at Burroughs Office Machine Supplies and at Hsu's Ginseng Enterprises, Inc. In 1991, he started his career at Lotus Brands, Inc., as Chief Marketing Officer, where he worked until his retirement in 2023. An avid Green Bay Packer fan and stockholder, his family knew never to call him during a game. He loved animals, preparing and eating mustard steak, and NASCAR, and his favorite place on earth for a picnic was Keller Lake in Dupont, WI.
He truly loved the outdoors and built his dream home in Harrison Hills. Scott was an experienced driver and knew how to navigate every major city in the United States. His uncanny sense of time put him on time, to the minute, for every event. His great passion in life was Studebakers, judging for regional and national car shows and meets. He was the proud owner of a 1963 Studebaker Grand Turismo (GT) Hawk and a 1964 Studebaker Avanti, attending numerous car shows and often won first-place trophies. Scott was also a proud Corvette owner and member of various Corvette clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Seering; his daughters, Lindsay Seering and Lauryn Seering; his sister, Jill Solinsky; his niece, Bobbi del Plaine; and his stepchildren, Tim O'Dowd, Tiffany (Brent) Larsen, and Sean O'Dowd. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna; his father, LaVern; his uncle, Harold Witt; and his aunt, Bernice Piotrowski.
Memorial services for Scott Seering will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Generations Funeral Home, at 1:00 PM. Rev. Larry Mathein will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
