Scott A. Thompson, 53, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Lighthouse Ministries, 1333 4th Avenue North, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Scott was born May 30, 1970, in Fort Dodge, the son of Jeannine (Miller) and Ken Thompson. He graduated from Humboldt High in 1988, and continued his education at Iowa Central Community College. On July 5, 1988, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge on November 27, 1990. Scott was the owner/operator of Personal Computer Solutions from 2008 – 2022. Scott enjoyed riding his motorcycle, throwing darts, and playing pool, disc golf, bowling & chess. He also enjoyed bonfires and socializing with friends.
Scott is survived by 2 children: Anthony Thompson of Fort Dodge and Julie Thompson of Omaha, NE; his mother: Jeannine Lamb of St. Louis, MO; siblings: Kellie Grant and husband Chris of Yelm, WA; Samantha Campbell and husband Jason of Waterloo, IA and Bill Thompson of Spencer, IA; and his significant other: Nicole Behrens of Fort Dodge and her two children. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Ken Thompson; and 2 siblings: Dave Thompson and Lori Tullis.
