Scott Timmes Obituary
Kristine Timmes did not even get to kiss Scott Timmes at the New Year's Eve party where they met in 1995. She left before midnight to be with her family.
No matter. "I knew we would get married," she said, recalling how she was immediately taken with his smile and sense of humor. "He said funny things. He made me laugh."
Mr. Timmes, 28, of Queens, worked as a commodities customer service clerk with Carr Futures, the global futures trading firm, on the 92nd floor of 1 World Trade Center. He wanted to move up the corporate ladder and make a name for himself, his wife said, but he also "loved to bowl, loved the Mets and loved his daughter," 14-month- old Sydney.
"He loved to sing and dance, specially the oldies," Mrs. Timmes said. "When he sang along to a song and didn't know some of the words, he would make them up as he went along until he got to a part he knew again."
"Basically, he was one of the happiest people you could ever meet in your life."

I am so sorry you died, Sydney is in my class this year and is one of my best friends, i lost my mom, but mine died of something else, but she was also 28, Sydney looks alot like her dad, and she is a great friend and really funny, but she always puts on a brave face and goes on, shes a strong girl and i love that even though every year she doesnt let it show if it bothers her, i love the past 2 years i haved shared with sydney, and next year for our last middle school year together. I had the pleasure to coach Sydney in 2009/2010 not knowing that she had lost her day on 9/11, but there was something in her look that told me that not everything was right in her life. I came to find it out on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Not only Sydney has a great and positive attitude, but I'll bet that she will be a future star in the sport that she loves: soccer. Dad would be so proud of her today. Rest in peace Scott.

Dear uncle scott, i miss you soo much and 10 years its been since ive seen youu, i was young yes but i remember alot how youd take me and buddy for walks and how we'd go get ice cream and all those crazy things and you were a best friend..my uncle.. but then you left and i cant remember your voice and it hurts, i hope you look down on me and are proud. i wonder though how it would be if you didnt leave, how would we be today and how would i be. i miss you and like i said i hope you are proud in everything that i do. p.s. i sang just for you today ?

It's your 10th Anniversary in Heaven. I look at baby pictures of your little girl and realize that she is now a whole 10 years older, that realization makes me so sad for you and for her. You were such a sweet, fun, loving person and you would have been an amazing father all these years. I am so sorry that you missed out on that, and that Sydney missed out on growing up with you. It seems like yesterday when we used to have our Yanks/Mets yelling fest while walking to the corner bodega on Cresent.I saw Dawn a few years ago and she told me that you were no longer with us. I look at that picture of yours and it brought back so many childhood memories that I forgotten about. You were a great kid and a jokester!!!
I remember one day you,Luis and Freddie chased me down Hemlock with water ballons and I fell.... the best part was that all 3 of you had a great shot at hitting me and all 3 of you missed!!!! Or the time when I wanted to "bunny hop" over a Barbie dream house and you told me.... youre not gonna make it and you were right... I fell flat on my tail....

Early in the morning on September 11, 2005, we stood at your grave and honored you. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing gently through the leaves on the trees and the red, white and blue ribbons tied to the branches of your tree floated in the wind. As we stood there for a moment of silence, your presence was felt, so strong and vibrant. It was a beautiful day. Your daughter, who is now 5, stood at the foot of your grave and with a look of innocence that only a child could have, asked if you were going to come back. As I wondered how to tell her in a way she could understand, the sun shone through her long blond hair, as it blew around her face. She waited patiently for my answer. With careful thought, and with tears in my eyes and my heart crying for her, for the innocence that she has lost, I told her NO, you werent coming back. But you will always be here, in our hearts, in our minds, our thoughts, our prayers, when we are sad and lonely. You will always be looking down upon her, her guardian angel. Today was the day, your daughter was told about you, what happened to you, and that that day was special and we celebrate it because it was the day you went to heaven. She was ok with that. Satisfied that she knew the truth. I am so proud of her. I know that you are too. Happy 4th birthday in heaven. Hope you are having a great time. I never met Scott in person. I talked to him every morning because of my job. I'll never forget talking to him on August 2nd 2001. I told him it was my daughter's birthday and he told me it was also his daughter's birthday. I told him my daughter was 21 that day and he told me his was 1 that day. He sounded so happy and so proud of his little girl that day. He said he was looking forward to spending the days and years with her as I had with mine. Every year on my daughter's birthday I think of Scott and his daughter too. I'm sure he is as proud of her today as he was on that first birthday of hers.

I was going to wait until tomorrow but i am not sure with the hurricanes and bad weather we are having. So while i am on i will do it today..... It has been 3 years already since youv'e been gone. One one bird was around the house circleing around the house. I knew that was you. That bird was around the house for a good hour just going around in a circle.
