In memory of
Matt Hibbs
July 2, 2009
Hi there Jeanette and Brad,
I am so sorry that I only heard about your loss by googling Scott's mom and my step-mother. I am glad to hear that he was so cherished and he had a wonderful life with a great lady. I have limited memories of Scott, we lived in the same house, but we weren't as "blended" a family as some. I have great memories of his Granparents Al and Alice Miller they were two very loving and caring people. They loved Scott very much. I hope you had a chance to meet them.
I met his father on a few occasions and was very impressed by him. If you met Ralph, his brother you know that he and Scott were very different, as Scott and Laurie were very different. It is a testimony to Lois that she encouraged her kids to be individuals and loved them each in their own way.
I hope that you will find peace and strength in your time of grief.

As you are aware, I did not know Scott very well until a year ago. So, during the time I spent with him he was ill and bedridden. But this did not dim his courage, his wonderful intelligent and inquisitive mind, or his sense of humor. Over the weeks and months he became one of the dearest friends I have ever had.
I miss Scott terribly, and wake up most every morning thinking of him. May he rest in peace.
My love to you.

Jeanette,
I am honored to have known you both. I always enjoyed Scott's sense of humor. You both travelled a long hard road. I hope that you will find the peace that you deserve. My words may seem inadequate, but just know that there is a lot of love and compassion behind them.

I never met Scott, I never knew his wit... I never experienced his humor. We did not meet here on earth. I loved Scott Tipling. I grieve his loss. I loved him for the friendship he shared with my husband, Jack. For the love they shared for each other. I only knew of Scott's greatness as I so often have listened to stories and watched the happiness in Jack's eyes, felt the warmth in his heart as wonderful memories they had made together were revealed to me in story. No, I didn't know Scott...and yes...I loved him. Please believe I feel the loss of your dear one. Scott is alive in all of our hearts and there is no doubt that his memory shall live within our household forevermore. Bless you, his family and his friends. Take a moment and feel the warmth of his magical smile shining down upon you throughout these emotional times. God will bless and keep you. Your Scott and my Jack's Scott will never be forgotten.

How I will miss your caring, compassionate heart and your humorous, brilliant mind, Scott!
My sincere condolences to his loving wife Jeanette and to all his family and friends.
You were truly my brother, Scott, and I will never forget what we shared for so long. But, it was not nearly long enough!
Love always,
Jack

Jeanette and Scott's family - thank you for sharing Scott with us all. He will be missed but he taught us not how to die but how to live - each and every day.
Scott, you have always been and will continue to be in God's hands.
