Scottie Newell Connell Sr.

Scottie Newell Connell Sr, 71 of Kilbourne LA, passed away in his home on May 27,2025 in Kilbourne La. He was born on June 09,1953 in Eudora AR, to his parents Henry Connell Jr and Nelma Gean (Newell) Connell. He retired after 35 years of service as a local Butcher for Kroger in Greenville MS. He was a member of the Timber Hunting Club and Local 1529 Union.
He is preceded by in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn Connell, and one brother George (Sonny) Connell.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son Scottie (Alecia) Connell of Kilbourne La; one daughter Tina Reel of Malta TX; eight grandchildren, Riley (Jaelynn) of Green LA, Ally Connell, Vega Jones, Lydia Connell all of Kilbourn LA, Breeanna (Jake) Weathers, Emee Reel, Elle Reel and David Reel all of Malta TX; two great grandchildren Noah and Olivia of Malta TX.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Sims, David Menotti, J. D. Wise, Jerry Ainsworth, Lane Waites, Stanley Stover, Roy Brown, Charles Micheal Brown, Jimmy Brown Jr., Roger Hensley, Kent Sibley, Brad Lovell, and Red Turner.
Visitation will be held on May 31,2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Services to follow 11:00 a.m. in the Bishop- King Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Scott Garrett Officiate.
