Scottie Dewayne Maupin Jr. passed from this life on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 29 years.
A native of Tullahoma, Tennessee, he is the son of Scottie (Allison) Maupin Sr. of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Jennifer (Jimmy) Hickerson of Morrison, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee with Pastor Jimmy Kesey officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
Scottie was a very headstrong and kindhearted person. One of his true passions was playing baseball. If you knew Scottie, you knew his talents on the ball field never went unnoticed. He would shine brightly on any field he stepped on. More than ball, he loved being a dad most. His son Jayden gave Scottie a new light and something to be proud of. He was such a polite and good-hearted person, and when you came in contact with him, he left a lasting impression. He loved his family and one thing Scottie didn't lack was friends. His life will forever live on through his family and friends and behind that home plate where he belonged.
Scottie was met as he entered into heaven by his grandparents, Bobby and Laura Lowe.
Along with his parents, his survivors include brothers, Devan (Elizabeth) Hickerson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Terrin (Tori) Maupin of Tullahoma, Tennessee, grandmother, Mary Maupin (Mama Kat) of Tullahoma, Tennessee, son, Jayden Maupin and his mother, Mckenzie Marske of Tullahoma, Tennessee, nieces and nephews, Kaynan, Brinley, Adonis, Esmeree, and Knox. Scottie is also survived by several loving Aunts and Uncles as well as many, many friends.
