Sean Glenn Bookstore, age 52, died on April 20, 2025, near his home north of Elkhart, Kansas. Sean was born on August 29, 1972, to F.H. “Nick” and Glennis (Riley) Bookstore at Cimarron Memorial Hospital, Boise City, Oklahoma.
Sean lived his entire life in Morton County, graduating from Elkhart High School with the class of 1991. He then attended college at Colby Community College, Kansas State University, and graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University with a bachelor's in Animal Science.
Sean was married to Laura (Rein) Bookstore from 1993 to 2014. This union was blessed with two children, Lacy Jean and Kolby Glenn. Sean was very proud of his children and dearly loved them.
Following college graduation, Sean began working in the agricultural industry. He worked at Elkhart Co-op for many years, Cargill Grain, and later Northfork Grain. Recently, Sean started his own business in Elkhart, KOC Feed and Tires.
Sean enjoyed being outdoors and running cattle with his Dad. Spending time with his family and friends, especially his kids, was one of his favorite things to do.
Sean was preceded in death by his mother, Glennis; paternal grandparents, John and Betty (Hull) Bookstore; and maternal grandparents, Glenn and Betty (Sweem) Riley.
Survivors include his father, Nick, and wife Lou Bookstore of Four-Corners, OK., daughter, Lacy Jean Bookstore of Hutchinson, KS., son, Kolby Glenn Bookstore of Kingman, KS., sister Nikki Bookstore of Elkhart, KS., special friend Robin Koonce of Elkhart, KS., former wife Laura (Rein) Bookstore of Kingman, KS., two nieces, two nephews, two great-nephews, numerous cousins and extended family and friends who will greatly miss him.
Memorials are suggested to the Kolby Bookstore Education Fund, in care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Elkhart, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday, April 28, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M., with family receiving friends from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home of Elkhart.
Celebration of life services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 2:00 PM, at the Elkhart First Church of God, Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Jess Lee presiding over the service.
Robson Funeral Home of Elkhart is overseeing the arrangements.
