Sean William Rhodes

Sean William Rhodes, age 50, passed away on September 16, 2025. He was born in New Orleans on September 3, 1975, to the late John and Gloria Rhodes.

Sean attended Francis W Gregory Junior High School, where his sports career began. He was scouted by numerous high schools in the greater New Orleans area. He chose to continue his high school career at St. Augustine High School in the 7th ward of New Orleans. He played several positions while attending St. Augustine. He was most known for his talents at the running back position where he excelled. He broke multiple records, and he was part of the Legendary backfield, "The Four Horsemen".

Sean was employed with Richard's Disposal for many years until he became ill. Sean was a caring, fun-loving father, brother, and friend to many who came in contact with him. He loved going out and spending time with friends. His heart was with the children he had a pleasure in coaching. Sean was loved and will be missed by many

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Gloria Rhodes; grandparents, Willie and Lillie Rhodes; one brother, John Rhodes Jr; his daughter, Ashlyn Renee Gloria Rhodes.

Sean leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Sean Evans, Santo Antoine, and Lillie Grace Rhodes; his siblings; 2 uncles, Dexter and Greyland Rhodes (Uncle Moon); one aunt, Lisa Rhodes Wylie.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Sean's Memorial Service on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 3PM at Professional Funeral Services, Inc 1449 N Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, LA.
