Sears gave me a wonderful education in the creative and performing arts. I still use the skills he taught me. He and Pat became good friends of mine. They took me under their wing when I was having trouble. Sears has added so much to the world and mentored so many people.

I had the great pleasure of working as a lighting/scene designer for productions Sears directed at Earlham College in the late 1970s. He was a very creative director and great teacher. We became great friends with Pat and Sears sharing many holiday dinners and backyard picnics.

I had the privilege of working with Sears for 25+ years as his administrative assistant. In all those years we didn´t see eye-to-eye only once an issue; and as the boss, he won out! Sears was always kind, thoughtful, and a gentleman. What a guy! I will miss him but have so many wonderful memories to recall.
