Bryski-Maurer, Sebastian Paul
WEST SAND LAKE - Sebastian Paul Bryski-Maurer, 17, died Thursday, November 6, 2025, peacefully in his sleep, with his headphones on.
Born in Albany, he was the son of Bryan G. Maurer and Mary A. Bryski. He spent most of his life between Ballston Spa and West Sand Lake, and attended Ballston Spa High School and Spa Catholic School.
Sebastian loved being a brother to his sisters, Claire and Aoife, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed music, listening to it, making it, and attending shows whenever possible. He was always up for a road trip or taking the train to visit Claire in Indiana, and taking time to make bracelets with his sister, Aoife, for the people he loved.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Mary, and father, Bryan; include his sisters, Claire Bryski-Maurer and Aoife Bryski; his maternal grandmother, Michele Bryski; and paternal grandmother, Diane Bell; his second father, Enoch Thompson; and all of his pets, Oliver, Charles, Oreo, Cinnabon, Shadow, Artemis, Apollo and Nathaniel. Sebastian also leaves behind a friend group who are like a second family. He was predeceased by his beloved Gido Albert Bryski; and great-grandmother, Marcella Schreckenstein.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Ave., Troy, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 5 to 7 p.m., with a service to follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. Adam Wiegand, officiating.
