Sebastian Kidder Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sebastian Joseph Kidder on October 26, 2024, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Born on July 9, 2000, Sebastian, known affectionately as Sebas, lived a life deeply intertwined with the rhythms of music, his artistic passion guiding him in all his creations. As a talented musician and writer, he composed his own songs, released his album, authored multiple books, and even penned evocative poetry, showcasing a creative spirit that knew no bounds. He also loved listening to music daily, particularly rock, and he enjoyed going to concerts and discovering new musical artists.

Sebastian found joy beyond music as well, reveling in the excitement of football. He was a huge Atlanta Falcons fan, attending many of their games. When he was not going to a game, he enjoyed watching NFL football on Sundays with his father. He also enjoyed playing Fantasy Football, and was proud to be Champion of his family and friends league last year. He played recreational league baseball for many years, starting at age 5 until he reached middle school. Among the many thrills of life, he held a special place in his heart for Halloween, cherishing the magic of the season, and dressing in elaborate costumes every year. His adventurous spirit led him to amusement parks. Universal Studios, Disney World, and Disneyland were among his favorites, where he enjoyed so much fun and numerous thrills with his sisters and parents many times over the years. He thoroughly enjoyed doing escape rooms with his sisters and father. Video games were another one of his favorite hobbies as an adolescent and he was very good at persuading his sisters to play with him.

A true connoisseur of entertainment, Sebastian found solace in the words crafted by authors and filmmakers, with Stephen King's writing holding a particularly cherished spot in his heart. An avid reader, his thirst for knowledge extended to various genres including many books of classic literature, showcasing a curious mind eager to explore the depths of the written word. He also loved watching movies and going to the theatre. He did some acting too, and was involved with a few different projects, with his favorite being his work on the Walking Dead television series for several years.

Sebastian was a loving son to his mother Wendy Barlow and father Paul W. Kidder III, and loving brother to his three sisters Sophia, Paris, and Summer, sharing his passions and creating cherished memories with his adoring family. His intelligence, kindness, fun loving spirit, clever sense of humor, and boundless creativity touched the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 2:00PM.

As we come together to honor and remember Sebastian, let us preserve the legacy of his music, his love for life's simple pleasures, and the gentle spirit that will forever resonate in our hearts. Sebastian may have departed from this world, but his melodies and memories will continue to echo through time, reminding us of the beauty he brought into our lives. May his soul find peace as we bid farewell to a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, musician, author, and friend.

Sebastian's family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness, to support vital mental health advocacy and services.

Sebastian, you stand in a category all by yourself for youthful brilliance and every form of mental and emotional creativity in my mind. I will cherish our short time together that resulted in so many laughs, and I will make sure that my piece on your stellar work is worthy of the Byronic, beatific life you so exemplified in your art. I feel very fortunate to call you a friend and you will never, ever be out of my thoughts

Sebastian reached out to me back in July to be a guest on my podcast to promote his new album. He and I had an incredible conversation during and after we recorded. He was such a talented person and a deep thinker. That what I admired about him. I will make sure that people know about his music. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time. RIP Sebastian. You'll never be forgotten!
