Selena Denise Cook Magnusson

Selena Denise Cook Magnusson left this Earth on Thursday, June 6th, leaving behind her loving husband, Casey, of 27 years together.
Family mourning this loss include her father, Ralph Cook, sisters Teresa Walker and Cecilia Cook, brothers Tim Cook and Ross Cook, father-in-law Randall Magnusson, sisters-in-law Mary Ann Cook and Staci Brockwell, brothers- in-law John Walker and Paul Brockwell, niece Mandy Hoffman, nephews Miles Cook, Ethan Cook, Casey Cook, Austin Cook, and Caleb Cook, as well as several great nieces, nephews and a host of close friends.
She was a 1992 graduate of LaFayette High School, and a 1996 graduate of Berry College with a B.A., Psychology and a M.A, Adult Education from Central Michigan University. Selena dearly loved her work as the Vice President, Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success at Georgia Northwestern Technical College, where she served for 26 years in many roles.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Betty Ruth Little Cook, mother-in-law, Gloria Magnusson, sister-in-law Julie Cook, nephew Jonathan Walker, and her dear aunt, Denise Clopton.
Visitation will be held at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette, GA on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service on Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Don Shields and Legare Price officiating.
Interment will take place at the LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Austin Cook, Caleb Cook, Wayne Pettigrew, Casey Adams, Mark Shields, and Paul Brockwell.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff members of Georgia Northwestern Technical College.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to the Georgia Northwestern Technical College Foundation.
