Dear Selina, I have prayed for you many times ever since I found out you were gone forever 10 years ago. That unreturned phone call is still haunting me. I will never forget you!

UNRETURNED PHONE CALL

“I’ll call you later”, I said,
busy was I that morning.
I thought we had time ahead
but death came without warning.

To call you back was my choice,
never will I hear your hello,
gone is the sound of your voice,
why you called, I’ll never know.

“I’ll call you later”, I said,
just before two plane crashes.
Soon after that you were dead,
your body reduced to ashes.

My eyes saw the awful crime,
the Towers in their deadly fall.
My friend, I did not have time
to return your final call.

“I’ll call you later”, I said,
that was September eleven.
I will pray for you instead
since I can’t call you in Heaven.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

Selina,

I cried so many times when I heard that you were in the building that morning. I am so glad that we met up for a beer when I was back in New York just before the incident. You were such a special person and I am so glad you were my dear friend over the years.....and still will be for all the years to come. Much love and God bless.

Hi Selina,

I always remember you; in fact, lately I've been feeling like there's an angel watching over me and I think it could be you. Here's hoping you are in paradise!

I worked with Selina years ago on a trading desk of Bayerische Vereinsbank, then known as UBB. She was the one of the sweetest, gentlest people I ever met. Quite literally, Selina would never hurt a fly. She was the exact opposite of the stereotypical loud, quick-tempered, egotistical trader often seen in our business. Her kindness, her loyalty to her colleagues and her job, her unselfishness and professionalism were what made her a success and pleasure to work with. After 20 years I still considered Selina a friend.

Selina, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry you were taken so abruptly, but I'm also glad we got to talk the night before. If only we had been able to meet and celebrate your birthday that week...may God keep you in heaven as the Guardian Angel you were on earth.

Happy Birthday (Sept. 14th)!

Today, in a memorial ceremony at the University of Pittsburgh, I placed an American Flag with your name on it, on the lawn of the Cathedral of Learning, in your memory. I join the millions of others who will never forget that tragic day one year ago. You will all have a place in our hearts, forever.

Selina,

In the months that followed September 11. I ordered a bracelet from bracelets for America. Each bracelt has a name of a person who died that day. Fate got me your name. I wea the bracelet every day. I now work for the TSA and everytime I have to take off the bracelet and walk through the metal dector so i can report to work I say a prayer for you. You will always be in my heart. May God bless you and your family.

What a beautiful name. We are so deeply sorry for your loss of Selina. Our hearts are with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
