Sergio Abrego

Sergio Abrego, 66 years old of Waukegan, passed away surrounded by his dear family on August 29, 2024. Sergio was born on July 12, 1958 to Fidencio & Juanita Abrego Ruiz in Nuevo León, Mexico. He met his wife Beatriz nearly 50 years ago in Waukegan, where they remained and raised their family.
Sergio was above all the best grandfather, he was sweet, loving and enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren. He enjoyed his wife's home cooked meals, watching cooking shows, car shows and cook outs with his family. He was an avid music enthusiast, listened to all kinds of music, from vallenatos to Rock. He loved traveling, his all time favorite place was Colombia and had the opportunity to visit before his passing with his grandchildren. Sergio will be dearly missed by his wife, children and most of all his grandchildren.
He is survived by his dear wife, Beatriz Abrego; their children, Diego Adrian (Karen) Abrego and Esteban Daniel (Elisa) Abrego; his grandchildren, Julian Antonio, Adrian, Andrick, and Victoria Elena Abrego; a host of family members and lifelong friends. Sergio is now at rest alongside his dear son, Sergio Andres Abrego (3/2/2021).
