Seth A. Hawkins, age 26, of Chappell, NE, and formerly of Sidney, NE, passed away in Colorado on Monday, June 2, 2025. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial Services for Seth will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sidney with Jared Sonnenberg officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in care of the family for future designation.
Friends may stop by the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 1-6:00 P.M. to leave their condolences for the family. You may view Seth's Book of Memories, leave condolences, photos and stories at www.gehrigstittchapel.com.
Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Seth's care and funeral arrangements.
Born on December 14, 1998, in Sidney, NE, Seth was the son of Kevin Hawkins and Misty (Hager) Russell. He graduated from Sidney High School in 2017, where he was a member of the Cross-Country team. In 2018 he was blessed with twin daughters. At the time of his death, he was working at Bell Pole, a job he truly enjoyed.
Seth is survived by his mother Misty Russell of Poplar Bluff, MO, his father Kevin Hawkins of Sidney, NE; daughters, Brinley and Paislee Judd of Sidney, NE; brothers, Michael Russell of Poplar Bluff, MO, Matthew and wife Elizabeth Hager of Chappell, NE, sister Victoria Schank of Minatare, NE; grandparents, Gary and Barb Hawkins of Sidney, NE, Harry and wife Debra Hager of Lincoln, NE, and Debra and husband Dennis Harmon of Piggott, AR. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will forever cherish the time they had together.
Preceding him in death are his infant sister Rebecca Russell, and special friend Ryan Russell. Seth loved spending time with those he cared about most. Whether it was gathering with friends, enjoying family time or offering a helping hand, he always brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
