With heavy hearts, we extend our deepest sympathy to Setti´s wife, Tassy, and children, Abigail and John. We hope you find solace and strength in the many proud moments and joyful memories of Setti, as well as in the love and respect so many feel for him.

Setti was a remarkable human being; one who served his nation and the city he loved with dedication, integrity, and compassion. He led with both vision and heart, and we are all profoundly grateful for his years of service and the example he set.

Those who knew Setti will remember not only his accomplishments but his kindness. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, his warmth conveyed through an ever-present smile and a firm handshake.

We hope Setti is looking down from heaven, our dad at his side, both knowing they left this world a better place.

May Setti´s memory be a blessing.

I came to Newton after Setti Warren had moved on to new endeavors but am so moved by the descriptions of his achievements and how he accomplished them through his deep caring for people and knowing how to bring them together through listening, understanding their side of the issues and coming to creative compromises which left people feeling heard and taken care of. We NEED this kind of informed thoughtful leadership so much in our land today. My sincere condolences on his passing.

Professor & Harvard HKS IOP Director Warren was an amazing and passionate teacher, who enabled his students, the Harvard Community, his constituents and the public; to know that anything is possible through the value of communication, public input and understanding of both sides of the issue.

It was an honor to be able to attend many of the HKS IOP events, where Director Warren sat side-by-side with the students, in the back row and watched how they interacted with the speakers. From Congressional Leaders, Public media officials, international delegates and many others...he allowed the public to be made aware of what issues were important for such a time as this.

It was an honor to meet Director & Professor Setti Warren, several times, and for him to acknowledge that I always had to be "in professional mode" no matter my background, culture or beliefs.

Thank you for your service to the world.
