Seymour "Sy" Zaban

Seymour "Sy" Zaban, age 96. Beloved husband for 65 years to Phyllis, nee Ungar; cherished father of Arthur "Artie" (Marie) Zaban, Leonard "Lenny" (Jennifer) Zaban and Sharon "Sheri" Zaban (Jon) Lippitz; loving grandfather of Sammi, Olivia, Drew, Jordin, Macy, Orli and Miles; dear brother of the late Marvin (Mollie) Zaban and the late Millie (Irving) Adler; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Seymour was a practicing attorney in Chicago for over 60 years and was a commissioner on the Cook County Board of Tax Appeals and a lobbyist for Cook County. Funeral Friday, January 2nd, 2026, 12 Noon at Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah Synagogue, 3220 Big Tree Lane, Wilmette. Interment will be private for family members only following the service.
