SFC Daniel Thomas Schewe (Ret), 57 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 in his home.
Daniel was born in Covington, Kentucky on October 8, 1967, son to the late Paul Donald Schewe and Elaine Elizabeth Frischholz Schewe. Daniel joined the US Army after high school and served many tours of duty to include Iraq and Afghanistan. SFC Schewe retired from Active Duty service in 2010 after 24 years of service. He completed his college degree at Central Texas College and was actively working as a contractor for the US Army. SFC Schewe is an American Hero who will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Schewe of the home; daughters, Khrysten Acosta of California, Shari Alberts of Florida, Kimberly Schewe of Raleigh, NC, Heather Schewe and Jennifer Gugliotta and her husband, Vincent Gugliotta, all of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Steve Schewe, Patrick Schewe, Gregory Schewe and Christopher Schewe, all of Covington, KY; a sister, Diane Schewe of Covington, KY; 5 grandchildren, Vincent Gugliotta, Jada Hodge, Gabriella Anthony, Andrea Anthony, Reggie Greene, and many extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2024 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral services with Full Military Honors will be 10:00 AM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Liberty, NC.
