Shakeilah Paulette White, lovingly known as Shak, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at the age of 33. Shakeilah was a beautiful soul whose life was tragically taken by domestic violence.
Shak was a devoted and loving mother to her three beautiful children — Leara Brown, Treyvon Brown of Bellefontaine, and Marquis Watkins of Toledo. She was a loyal friend, a caring confidant, and a cherished sister whose laughter and energy could light up any room. Known for her vibrant spirit, Shak loved to entertain with her rapping and dancing — talents that brought joy to everyone around her.
She is survived by her beloved children; her parents, Carmelita Haithcock of Springfield, OH, and Stacey White of Sidney, OH; her siblings, Shakayla (Nancy) Johnson, Josiah Haithcock, Jaquez Haithcock, Bryce White, Marques White, Tae’sha Carter, and Keyli Murphy; and her loving grandparents, Marshieliah (Chuck) Ladd and Dennis (Antoinette) Shropshire. She also leaves behind three caring uncles, Dennis (Mike) Shropshire, Trey (Brittany) Shropshire, and Marcos White, and two devoted aunts, Dawn Everett and Arlita Hudgins. She also leaves her best friends Abigail Price and Deneshia Whetsel to mourn her passing.
Shak was preceded in death by her grandmother Paulette White of Sidney, and her great-grandparents Melvin and Gloria Johnson of Bellefontaine.
Shakeilah’s light, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Though her life was cut short, her spirit continues to inspire strength, love, and resilience in all who were blessed to share in her journey.
“Gone too soon but never forgotten.”
