Shalanda Wesson

Shalanda Wesson, 48, of Florence, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Visitation will be Monday, March 30, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Ronnie McKissack and Kevin Vickery officiating. Interment will be at Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.

Shalanda was a member of Christian Faith Church and was a hair stylist for 28 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend and will be dearly missed. Shalanda was preceded in death by her father, Roger Wesson; grandfather, Fred Wesson; and grandmother, Helen Smith.

She is survived by her children, Chance Borden (Christan), Aubrey McFall, Ailee Doss; mother, Jennifer Smith-Abbott (David); grandchildren, Rylan Borden and Bexley Borden; very special grandmother, Vella Mae Ezekiel; special sisters, Bethany Bishop and Robbie Simpson; special friend, Jonathan "Jon Boy" Smith; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins..

Pallbearers will be Chance Borden, Steven Borden, Wesley McFall, Justin McCreless, Jonathan Smith, and Jared Young.
