Shan B Hutchison of a Rockport, Texas, passed away on July 11, 2025 at the age of 57. He was born on September 10, 1967, to Bill Hutchison and Edeltraud Hutchison in Waco, Texas. Shan graduated from Rockport Fulton High in 1985. After graduating he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for 12 years , active duty and then reserves. He later studied for a degree in business management. He married his first wife Michelle E Strong in 1988 . They had 2 children together, Jacklyn and Stephen. They divorced in 1994. He later remarried Laura (Christy) Sorenson in 2000. Together they had 2 children, Ezekiel and Jewel. When Shan was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed fantasy books and games. Later in life he enjoyed gardening, as well as arcade visits with his family and road trips.
Remaining to cherish Shan's memory is his wife Christy, his mother Edeltraud and his children: Jacklyn A (Michael) Jack, Stephen B Hutchison, Ezekiel T Hutchison and Jewel M Hutchison. And one grandchild. His sister-in-law; Kelly Sorenson, and mother-in-law, Sue Sorenson. His sister-in-law, Erica J Sorenson. As well as his nephew Nicholas Sorenson, and niece Auri Herrera-Rodriguez. Preceding Shan in death is his ex-wife Michelle, his father Bill, his brother-in-law Wade Sorenson and father-in-law Les Sorenson.
A memorial service will be held on July 29, 2025. Open to public starting at 10am, service will begin at 11 am at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. After there will be a service at the Veterans cemetery in Corpus at 1 pm.
