Shane Kirk Obituary
Shane Kirk, 54 of Washington, passed Friday, April 18, 2025, from the result of an auto accident.
An “End of the Road Show” will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be 2-4:00 PM, and 5-7:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025, at the funeral home. A general memorial in the name of Shane Kirk has been established.
Shane was born on September 15, 1970, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Richard and Shirley (Feehan) Kirk and graduated from Washington High School in 1988.
He worked at the COOP at Ainsworth and P&G in Iowa City, owned and operated White Way Welding, farmed, owned and operated Outlaw Express Trucking, and drove a semi truck for others. He was a member of the Ainsworth Lions and enjoyed collecting toy semis, trips to Las Vegas, watching racing, coaching his daughter’s softball, camping, and boating.
Survivors include significant other Chris Hamilton of Washington; daughters, Jacayla Smith (significant other Aaron Burnett) of Washington, Shalyn Kirk (fiancé Taylor Handrahan) of Ainsworth, Allison Hamilton of Anamosa, and Olivia Hamilton of Iowa City; grandchildren Isabella, Oaklee and Davanie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dillian and Dorothy Feehan, mother, Shirley and granddaughter Brynleigh.
