Shannon Prescott Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson Funeral Home - Leominster on Nov. 5, 2025.
Shannon Prescott passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025 at the age of 52 after a difficult battle with cancer. She will be remembered as an integral part of many's lives, especially as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
Shannon lived a life centered around her family, always putting quality time with them first. She was the family historian, taking in numerous family heirlooms and imbuing the holiday season with generational traditions, most notably her grandmother's ricotta gnocchi. Her pride and joy was her three sons, who she'd talk about to anyone. She would often go to her brother's lake, where she would always try to out-fish everyone. In her final year she dedicated every Wednesday to watching her twin nephews, even through her treatments. Shannon was the bridge that brought a lot of us together in a way that felt natural.
Shannon would also make frequent trips around Leominster with her husband to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. For multiple sports she also volunteered for the Special Olympics, and encouraged her family to participate as well. Anyone that knew Shannon knew that she was selfless and dependable, no matter the issue.
Her greatest gift in life was to be able to create, whether that be through loving relationships or crafted goods. Some of her beloved activities included crocheting, clay, and felting. Creativity was natural to her, where she would become masterful with any craft she set her mind to.
It would be amiss not to mention her passion for softball. Every summer was dedicated to the Leominster Lassie League where she would play amongst her beloved team, LMW ("Camo"), which was also coached by her husband. Together they helped foster an amazing group that supported each other year-round. She was loved throughout the entire league and often found ways to brighten other's lives during the season.
Shannon also cherished roadtrip activities with her husband, which always ended with a thrifted good or a new plant. Known by many, their love for each other was immense, and elevated to new levels as he became her primary care taker.
In her final moments the entire family was by her side. Cared for by her husband, sons, and family, she was able to enjoy painting and drawing alongside them in the comforts of her own home. She was visited by many that all reciprocated the same warmth that she once had given them. She lived her life till the end with her famous personality and spunk.
Shannon is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Santino Fantozzi and Nina Fantozzi; her paternal grandparents, Walter Leblanc and Irene Leblanc.
Shannon is survived by her husband, Ken Guilmette; her sons, Jonathan Prescott, and his wife Laura Prescott, Cameron Prescott, and Colby Guilmette; her mother, Cynthia LeBlanc; her father Thomas LeBlanc and his wife Cynthia Vanslette; her sister, Courtney Kajuti and her partner Kim Kajuti; her brother, Andrew LeBlanc and his partner Heather Bilek; her nephews, Santino Kajuti, Silas Kajuti, Walter LeBlanc, and Oliver LeBlanc; her aunt, Lisa Fantozzi, and Linda Gallant and her husband Phil Gallant; her cousins Emily Donatelli, and her husband Garrett Donatelli, their children Nina Donatelli and Lucca Donatelli, and Ben Gallant.
