Shanquelos Flitee Edmondson was the first born of Clydell and Phyllis Edmondson on October 31, 1972 in Little Rock,
AR. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age, baptized at the age of 7 years old by his grandfather, Rev. Carlee
Porter. He departed this life, November 12, 2025, Shan was from the beginning, a cute, sweet, smart, loving, and happy
little boy. He attended daycare at Gaines Street Baptist Church. His buddy was Jamie James, son of Pastor Larry and Pat

death at the tender age of 8 years old, gave him the name Shan- Shan, and ShanBoy.
When visiting his granny's home, Shan would be at the top of the stairs, get on his tummy and flop down the stairs like a
slinky until he reached the landing, and when he did he would just grin and laugh, and we would clap and cheer him on.
Shan attended elementary school at Franklin Elem, Junior High at Forrest Heights, 1 year of High School at Central
High. Shan exhibited his singing talent initially with a boy group in Little Rock, called Reality, where he was lead vocalist.
They were celebrities among their peers. Sept. 1989, their/his mother, Phyllis, moved them to Atlanta, GA, seeking a
better life for her children. That Year, his mother allowed him to spend the remaining time up to winter break of that
year, with his friend Chris-(He could be trusted to live here with his friend away from mom). He was very disciplined and
trustworthy.
He joined the family later that winter. He attended Shamrock High the remainder of his Junior and Senior year. He want ed to work after school, and mom gave him the okay to do so, but he had to use his money wisely as he would take his
money to care for himself and if mom needed to help him at any time she did so. He graduated from Shamrock High in
Decatur, GA in 1991. After graduation, he moved to Texas to spend time with his father before joining the U.S. Navy.
While stationed in San Diego, he met his first wife, helped raise a set of twins- Step-Daughters, Vanessa and Veronica
who are now 32 years old. Residing in Florida, and his only daughter Catiana Edmondson, 29, residing in Florida as well.
In 2005, he met and married Rachel Jones, there were no children to this union, but he became a step-father to Darryl
Brightwell, and step-granddaughter, Truly Marie Brightwell. Shanquelos Flitee Edmondson is the wonderful irreplaceable
grandson of the late Rev. Walter Carlee Porter, the late Mrs. Lummie Porter-Riley, and the late Ms. Maudester Edmond son; Many, many, cousins, uncles: Hashim Mustafa, Timothy Porter, Dexter Porter, aunts: Shelby Porter, Gwendolyn
