Shari Fromm, age 57, of
Twin Valley, MN, passed away on January 24, 2026, at HIA Heather's House Hospice in Fargo, ND.
Shari Dawn Fromm was born on March 10, 1968, in
Crookston, MN, to Carl and Ann (Lassila) Fromm, the youngest of three children. She grew up in St. Hilaire, MN and attended school there before graduating from Thief River Falls High School with the Class of 1986.
Over the years, Shari lived in several places, including
Denver, CO, where she worked as a nanny; Fargo-Moorhead, where she took college classes; and
Redwood Falls, MN, where she worked as a paraprofessional. In 1999, she was blessed with her son, Jonathan, and together they made their home in Twin Valley. Shari worked at Garberg Foods from 2001 to 2012 and made several lasting friendships and connections. She later worked at the Shooting Star Casino gift shop in
Mahnomen, MN, from 2012 until recently, where she formed even more meaningful relationships and was a friendly, familiar face many people grew up with and loved.
Shari loved her small-town community and was a loyal supporter of Norman County East and the town of Twin Valley. Whether it was fundraisers, concerts or various youth activities, she was always happy to cheer on the kids and help people. She was especially devoted to Jonathan, supporting and encouraging him every step of the way.
Travel was one of Shari's greatest joys. Some of her favorite adventures included a trip to Switzerland in 2011 and a cross-country road trip to
Albuquerque, NM, with Jonathan in 2021. She loved experiencing new places, cultures and foods and was full of fun surprises. Closer to home, she enjoyed spending time with her close friend, Todd Clow. They enjoyed RedHawks games, going to the movies, and going out to eat -- often for breakfast that was compliments of Clow after Shari beat him in fantasy football.
No matter what life threw at her, Shari held steady with her kind and loving heart, as well as her fierce independence. She enjoyed playing games, like Wahoo with LeRoy and family; tending to her flowers; and reading books she'd exchange with friends. She also loved curling up with her beloved companion, Molly, who she shared a deep bond with. Shari will be remembered for her warmth, strength and the genuine connections she made with so many people throughout her life.
Shari is survived by her son, Jonathan; siblings, Mary Ann Fromm and LeRoy (Jaci Adkins) Fromm; several nieces and nephews; and beloved pet, Molly. Shari was greeted in heaven by her parents; all of her aunts and uncles; and close friend, Todd Clow.
