To Bob, Charlie, Lea & Rea
I just became aware of the loss of your Mother Shari. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your families. Many memories came to life of the many horse show days. My father Joe always enjoyed the time spent at horse shows doing the pair class. Shari always had a great smile and a friendly hello. Take care.

To Shari's Loved Ones,
A small group of Fuldaites had been getting together in Florida in January each year and a couple years ago we called Shari and I'm so glad that we were able to talk together. It was just a warm and friendly conversation about our children.
God Bless Kay Christianson Boyter

From the United States Peace Corps Director of Communications, Richard Parker:

The Peace Corps is saddened to hear about Shari Howe’s passing. Shari devoted two and a half years of her life as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and after serving as a Volunteer, she later worked at Peace Corps Headquarters to ensure that Volunteers around the world had the finest and highest quality training possible

I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Shari's passing. I went to school with Shari at Fulda,Mn for 11 years. We went to the same church and sang in the choir together. I visited her about 5 or 6 times since she got sick. She always had that smile on her face even when she could no longer communicate. The Fulda Class's of 1955 thru 1958 will miss her. I knew Shari very well as we worked at the Peace Corps together for many years. We traveled internationally together and co-faciliated many training events together from Curacao to Vanuatu. I will always remember her youthfulness, joy and energy. One of my fun memories of her is in Vauatu and after we saw a cultural show with dancers, Shari was the first one to get up and dance WITH THEM. She was so alive and warm and so many many people will miss her. She has left a legacy and role model of aging with energy and grace and I only wish she had had many more years here.

Please accept our condolences on Shari's passing. We were friends at Macalester College in the late '50's and early '60's. She was a great dorm friend. We lost track of each other so it was wonderful to read of all her accomplishments in the obituary.

Sincerely, Dave and Lana (Millman) Runyan

To Shari's family and Jimmy,
I knew her at the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. and was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. I remember her youthful, vibrant energy and her smiling optimism in the face of challenge. I'm sure I speak for many people who knew her through the Peace Corps when I say she cared deeply and did a lot of good in this life, which for her has ended unfairly soon. We hope the thought of a life well-lived and many smiles shared will bring you comfort at this time.

Our daughter, Ann, read about your mom's death & all kinds of good memories flooded my mind. I was her first roommate at Mac & then we became reacquainted when she went to UMC in Crookston & I worked in the Science/Math dept. there. Our families went back & forth when our kids were all small. Please know that your whole family is in our thoughts & prayers & we're hoping happy memories will comfort you, too.
