Sharon Baker Obituary

Sharon Kay Baker, 88 of Seymour, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Majestic Care of North Vernon. Born February 11, 1937 in Jackson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Herbert Dallas and Anna Wetzel Cockerham. On October 18, 1954, she married Don Walker, Sr. On September 18, 1961, she married Kenneth Baker and he passed away in May of 1998.

Sharon was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Pantasote, Inc. after 14 years of service and also worked at Como Plastics. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Anna Cockerham, husbands, Donald Walker, Sr. and Kenneth Baker, brothers, Norman Dale Cockerham, Jack L. Cockerham, Randy Cockerham, Kirbie Cockerham, Lannie Cockerham, Neil Cockerham and sisters, Pam McKinney and Mary Cockerham.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her children, Don (Beth) Walker, Jr., Donna L. (Gary) Baulos, Cindy Carter, Keith (Greta) Baker, sister, Brenda Sue Campbell, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with Sharon's family from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026 and from 9:30 am until the time of service on Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Pastor Tim Lichtley of the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

Memorials may be given in Sharon's memory to the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. Please share memories and condolences at www.vossfuneralservice.com. Arrangements entrusted to the caring staff at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Service in Seymour.
