Sharon K. Barnard, 76 of Las Vegas, NV passed away on December 24, 2023 at Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles, CA. She was born on April 12, 1947 in Watseka, a daughter of Robert and Shirley (Howe) Luecke. Sharon married Mervin Barnard in September 1966 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Survivors include one daughter- Dianna (Darren) Leavitt of Mattawan, MI; one son- Eric (Kelly) Barnard of Milford; seven grandchildren- Joseph Rubitschung, Lucas Rubitschung, Capri Rubitschung, Mackenzie Lyles, Dallas Leavitt, Brianna Barnard, and Skyler Barnard; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister- Debra Cox, and one son- Robert Rogers.
Sharon loved her family, her church family, and her friends. Before retiring to Las Vegas, she was the director and teacher of the Cosmetology School at the Kankakee Community Career Center. She enjoyed her bible studies, playing golf, and sewing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 20, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Imagine Event Center, 102 N. Axtel, Milford, IL.
Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.
