Sharon Bassham Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pensacola Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home - Pensacola on Dec. 6, 2025.
Sharon (Rogers) Bassham, born on February 11, 1950, in Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in her hometown of Pensacola.
Sharon was a native of Pensacola, also residing in Michigan for over twenty years raising her family with her husband John. Together they built a life centered around their children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of warmth and laughter that continues to live on. Sharon's life was deeply rooted in the values of family, creativity, and humor, qualities that defined her throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bassham, parents William and Reather Rogers, brothers Bill Rogers and Jesse Rogers.
Sharon is survived by her children Christina Bassham; Hank (Vicki) Bassham; and Erin (Aaron) Shafer. Her joy multiplied with each of her six grandchildren Jillian Fillingim, Abram Shafer, Rachel Bassham, Elias Fillingim, Kenlee Fillingim, and Ivy Shafer and two great-grandchildren, Mason Carlisle and Charlotte Carlisle. Also survived by her sister Diane Madden, numerous cousins and friends.
A woman of many talents, Sharon had a passion for sewing and crafting. Even owning her own craft store The Quilted Rose. Her hands were rarely still, whether stitching quilts or creating thoughtful handmade gifts for those she loved. Her creativity was matched only by her quick wit; she always created laughter, bringing smiles to every room she entered.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Specialty Health Center for her care the past few years.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and cherished her. Her visitation will be held on December 10, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens 7433 Pine Forest Rd. The Funeral Service will be held on December 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Procession will be held immediately following the funeral service to graveside at Barrancas National Cemetery.
