Sharon Baur Obituary

Sharon grew up alongside her brothers, Roger Eddington and Donald Eddington, forming lifelong bonds that she treasured dearly. She later married the love of her life, the late Richard James Baur, with whom she shared many wonderful years.
Her greatest joy was her family.
Sharon will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and unwavering love for those around her. Her gentle spirit touched everyone she met and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. The family wishes to thank all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
Sharon is survived by her devoted children, Douglas R. Baucom, Bradley K. Baucom and Elizabeth J.K. Hoffmann. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Kayla Baucom, Devon Baucom, Dalton Hoffmann, Maegan Hoffmann; and her great-grandchildren, Gracie and James Hoffmann, children of Dalton and Maritza Hoffmann.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, Illinois, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am with Fr. Varghese Puthussery officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg.

I am sorry to hear about Sharon's passing. I remember the good times of going to her farm house for Thanksgiving and family reunions.
