Sharon Ethel Bell

1940 - 2025

Sharon Ethel Bell, 85, a beloved mother, grandmother, educator, designer, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, leaving behind a life rich in stories, color, resilience, and love. She was raised in Hale Center, Texas. Sharon later lived in New Jersey, and several places in both southern and northern California. More recently, she spent 25 years in Concord California, until 2021, when she moved to McKinney Texas to be close to family.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Susan Dowling and husband, Patrick Dowling of Melissa, Texas; son, Steven Bell and wife, Melinda Bell of Rockwall, Texas; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; sister, Janice Sackett; many cousins and other loving family, who are too many to name plus a host of cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Hidden Springs of McKinney, 6421 McKinney Ranch Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75070.
