Sharon Lorraine Cameron Beougher, 82, died at her home in rural Burlington November 6, 2025. She was born to Orville and Veva (Miller) Cameron September 3, 1943 in Colby Ks. Sharon grew up in Colby working for the Phillips family at the downtown movie theatre or the drive-in theatre. She attended Colby High School graduating with the class of '62. Sharon went on to attend the Dodge City School of Nursing at Dodge City Community College graduating as a LPN in '63. She returned to Colby to work at St. Thomas Hospital. While there she met her husband Alan while her future father-in-law was in her care. Alan and Sharon married June 14, 1965 and move to the family farm south of Oakley. Sharon worked briefly at the Logan County Hospital before starting a family and making them and the farm her full time job.

Alan and Sharon had 5 children; Joel, Mark, Monica, Stephanie and James. Mark and Stephanie died just 12 hours after birth.

Preceding her in death were; brothers Marion Cameron, Lynn Cameron; parents Orville and Veva Cameron; her in-laws Dewitt and Faye (Gibson) Beougher; her children Mark and Stephanie; her great grandsons infant Alexander and infant Jordan and her husband of 56 years Alan Beougher.

Surviving her are her son Joel and wife Sharon E. (Gillespie) Beougher of Hays Ks, their children Stephanie Beougher, Brett and wife Theresa Beougher and Christine Beougher; daughter Monica and husband Justin Mader of Burlington Ks, their children Levi Mader and Mary Kate Mader; son James Beougher and companion Joni of Stockton Ks. and his daughter Payton Derr and her husband Colton; and brother Jay and wife Sally Cameron of Hoxie Ks. She also leaves many treasured friends who meant so much to her and made her life a joy!

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Okley United Christian Church, Oakley, KS, with Pastor Bob Kelley officiating. Inurnment will follow in Gaeland Cemetery, Orion, Ks. Memorial donations suggested to Coffey County Cancer Support Group or Coffey County Library (Burlington Branch ), in care of Jones Funeral Home PO Box 277 Burlington, KS 66839 or Monica Mader 1973 12th RD Burlington Ks 66839.
