Crystal, I should have included this in my first message, but I was a little distraught to see that possibly the lovely Sharon I knew as such a good friend had passed away. I looked hard at the photo and it's been a long time, but I think I see her there. When she was in Alexandria, she wore glasses and her hair was darker, almost a brown color.
I remember the first night I heard her sing. She joined my husband and me on a night out, and the live band had invited anyone to sing if they wanted. I remember my jaw almost fell to the floor when she opened her mouth and began to belt out a big country hit song. I had no idea she could sing, she had never mentioned it. We went out again two or three times after that and I got very enthusiastic, as did my husband, when she took the microphone.
I'm a grandmother myself now of four lovely girls. If this is the correct Sharon, I would love to hear about her life after you moved to Florida. You can email me at the address given, and perhaps we can eventually talk on the phone.

Crystal, before I post anything, I just need to know I have the right Sharon. All the details sound as though she is, including the enormous talent she had as a country singer. Would you mind telling me if she worked at a department store in Alexandria, Louisiana, called Wellan's about 30+ years ago. If so, she was a wonderful friend to me, and she used to come to our house on a regular basis. I got pregnant in my late thirties, and had a daughter when my son was 17,and she was so loving and helpful. I'm almost hoping this Sharon isn't the correct one, because I will have to accept that she's gone. We lost touch when she and you, along with her father, moved to Florida from Louisiana. If you are the right family I can assure you that she absolutely loved you, and talked about you all the time. I've read your loving messages to her and she was truly a wonderful mother. I've thought of her often over the years.
