Sharon Mason Crayton, 43, of Stanfield, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center.
Sharon was born February 19,1980 in North Carolina to the late William Bryan Mason and the late Connie Efird Mason. She was also preceded in death by grandparents, William Wayne Efird, William & Lois Mason.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mission Baptist Church, 12444 Mission Church Road, Locust, NC, officiated by Pastor Jeremy Hyde. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Sharon was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister. She enjoyed camping, cooking, crocheting, and taking care of her dogs. But most of all, Sharon loved spending time with her family, especially going to the ball field to watch her children play sports. Sharon was a hard worker. She earned 3 Associate degrees from Stanly Community College and then went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Business from Western Carolina University. Sharon worked for Novant Health for 23 years where she eventually became a clerical supervisor at Lakeside Primary Care in Locust. Sharon never met a stranger, and everyone she encountered was positively impacted by her unwavering faith and character.
Survivors include husband, Jason Crayton of Stanfield, NC.; son, Michael Crayton; daughter, Makayla Crayton; grandmother, Freida Efird; sister, Casey (Derrick) Helms; nephew, River Helms, and niece, Heidi Helms.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Crayton family.
