Sharon Dillon Obituary

Sharon Dee Dillon8/31/50 - 12/14/25

With heavy hearts, we share that Sharon Dee Dillon passed away at the age of 75. Sharon was born in Milwaukee, WI, the firstborn to Edmund and Wanda Coyne—big sister to her brothers, Steven and Gary. Sharon always looked back with great fondness on her childhood and loved her parents and brothers deeply.

Sharon attended Pius XI High School and then graduated from UWM in 1972. Immediately after, Sharon began a 35-year career of education and empathy. First, as a Teacher of the Deaf for children ages 5-13 at MPS, and second, as an English as a Second Language Teacher at MATC. Throughout her life, Sharon was passionate about volunteering for causes such as: National Spinal Cord Association, Honor Flight, The Gathering, Quilts of Honor, Doors Open, and several others. Sharon’s enthusiasm could also be found in her devotion to Christianity and membership at Faith Community Church, located in Franklin, WI. Sharon was known to give endless time and effort to the church and its causes.

In 1972, Sharon married Jeffrey Dillon in Milwaukee, WI, and had two children: Alison and Ryan. Sharon took a break from teaching to raise her children and loved spending every moment with them. She is survived by Jeffrey, Alison, Ryan (Melanie), and her grandchild, Ellie. She is also survived by her siblings: Steven (Lori) and Gary (Karen). Sharon was also a lover of animals and, in particular, cats. Over the years, her family included several rescued cats.

Sharon will be remembered as a person who selflessly gave everything she had to others. Since her passing, it is not uncommon for people to speak of her as “the kindest person they ever met.” The world is better today because of the 75 years she spent with us.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2nd, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Max A. Sass & Sons, located at 8910 W Drexel Ave, Franklin, WI 53132. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, with a calling hour beginning at 9:30 am and a service starting at 10:30 am at Faith Community Church, located at 7700 W Faith Dr., Franklin, WI 53132.
