Sharon Queensberry Faulk January 1, 1976 – September 28, 2025
It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Sharon Queensberry Faulk, beloved fiancée, daughter, sister, aunt, colleague, and friend, who left this world on September 28, 2025, at the age of 49.
The first born on January 1, 1976, at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, and raised in Central Islip, New York, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Dan W. Sr. and Shirley Faulk. From an early age, she radiated kindness, strength, and joy that continued to define her life.
Sharon built an extraordinary career at BNY, rising through the ranks to a leadership role in the Corporate Trust division, where she managed diverse teams across international cities. She was admired for her intelligence, leadership, and the way she cared for people both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, Sharon embraced life with passion. A devoted foodie, she loved exploring different cuisines. She found joy in traveling, music, singing, and dancing — lighting up every room with her voice, rhythm, and laughter. Sharon’s greatest joy, however, came from her family. She adored her nieces, Kalie Donnelly, Danielle Faulk, and Kristen Faulk, treating them as though they were her own daughters. Kalie She was the middle sister and her bond with both her sisters Lesley and Elaine was much of a close friendship as it was sisterhood. Their favorite dance song as sisters since youth was We are Family, by Sister Sledge. Her bond with her brother Dan was full of love, encouragement, and fun opposing football team banter.
Her bond with her fiancé, Greg Swarn, was one of unwavering devotion, loyalty, and love. The two were planning to be married on January 1, 2026, in Greece — celebrating both Sharon’s 50th birthday and her dream destination.
Sharon was beloved not only by her family, but also by her colleagues, her community, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was the kind of person who would always make you smile, bring light to your life, and lend a helping hand. She made every life she touched better, inspiring others with her love, positivity, strength, and determination.
In 2023, Sharon was faced with a sudden and devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Even in the face of this enormous challenge, she displayed unshakable determination, resilience, and a true never-say-die attitude. She leaned on her faith in God until the very end, and her courage was so remarkable that many did not even realize the battle she was fighting. Sharon’s grace and positivity never wavered, leaving an example of strength and faith that will endure for all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted fiancé, Greg Swarn; her brother, Dan W. Faulk Jr; her sisters, Elaine Donnelly, Lesley Faulk, and Traci Fonville; her sister in law, Lisa Williams, her brother in laws Elijah Donnelly and Kelvin Fonville; her beloved nieces and nephew, Kalie Donnelly, Danielle Faulk, Jaedyn Faulk, Kristen Faulk, Brandon Fonville, and, Sydni Fonville; as well as a host of extended family, colleagues, and friends.
A service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on October 10th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm as well as 7pm-9pm at Moloney's Holbrook Funeral Home in Holbrook. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the life of this remarkable woman.
In lieu of flowers, Sharon’s legacy will live on through the Keep Pushing Foundation, to be established by her fiancé, Greg Swarn. The foundation will honor Sharon’s spirit by helping fight cancer and supporting others in their battles against this disease. Information on donations will be shared at a later date.
Though her time here was far too brief, Sharon’s brilliance, laughter, and love will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She leaves behind not only memories, but also an enduring example of courage, compassion, and faith.
