Sharon Lucile Fotzler, a long-time Monticello resident, went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2023. She was born January 27, 1944, in
Rockford, Illinois, and was the only child of Fred and Lucile Fotzler, who both preceded her in death. She remained a faithful Christian for her entire life and had been a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Sharon graduated from Millikin University and prospered with a long career in the field of accounting. Throughout her life, she lovingly cared for many cats and dogs. Sharon, as a caring and endearing woman, will be missed by her family and friends.
There will be a service on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Please come to the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home,
Monticello, IL – Visitation at 1:00pm followed by a service at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith in Action of Piatt County. The burial will be at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in
Rockford, IL.
