Sharon Gleason

Sharon Gleason, age 77, of Russellville, formerly from Valley Center Kansas, went to her heavenly classroom on Monday, November 3, 2025. She was born on January 30, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roy and Delphine Aday.

She graduated high school in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and got her education degree from Arkansas Polytechnical College,

and was a lifelong teacher with over 50 years in the classroom. She taught at Harry Street Elementary in Wichita for 35 years.

Sharon was a collector of Precious Moment figurines and loved spending time at the chapel with her Precious Moments family. She spent many hours building scrap books, mainly for the grandkids, filled with memories of their activities.

She attended Second Baptist Church in Russellville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Tommy Gleason; a brother, Gerald Aday; and a sister Janet Parks.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Darin and Lezlie Gleason of Shawnee, Kansas and Steven and Joy Gleason of Cleveland, Mississippi; a sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and David Dare of Dardanelle, a brother-in-law, Edward Parks of Dardanelle; and five grandchildren, Ryan and Zach of Shawnee, Kansas, Gavin and Avery of Oakdale, California and Teagan of Cleveland, Mississippi.

A family conducted memorial service will be held at the 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 10, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 320 N Sheridan Ave, Valley Center, Kansas 67147. Burial will be held at a later date in Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time at the church.
