Sharon Kay Gordon, 81, of Hiawatha, Kansas, went to be joined with Jesus, peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was the devoted and loving wife of Michael Gordon for 27 years and the proud mother of four daughters who were the center of her world - Anna Alexa Hawks and her husband Matthew of Kansas, Johni Kay Snider, Jessica Merz and her husband Eric, and Leslie Nunemaker and her husband Cyle.

She was a deeply loved grandmother to Dawsen, Maximus, and Olivia Hawks; Braiden Guido and son Jaxson Guido, Gabriella Pogany her husband Noah and her 2 sons Camden and Milo Pogany, Chandler Guido, and Gillian Spitzengel, Tyler Sweat and Erica Colen and her husband Ed; and Elijah, Amaris, and Eira Nunemaker - each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Throughout her life, Sharon worked hard and with heart - as a butcher, a server, and later as a "shark" dealer at Casino White Cloud. No matter what she was doing, she approached it with determination, humor, and grace.

Sharon had a special gift for making a house feel like home. She was passionate about cooking, especially when it meant gathering her family for holidays - Christmas being her favorite time of year. Her door was always open, and her table always ready for a warm meal or a cup of coffee with anyone who stopped by.

She loved her home, her family, her movies (especially Perry Mason and Downton Abby), and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with a bowl of chili and a scone nearby. Her strength and courage carried her through life's hardest moments, and she faced every challenge with her signature outlook: "There is a way - I just haven't thought of it yet."

Sharon will be remembered as our Grand Chawhee! For her radiant, timeless beauty. Her full of life smile that light up a room. For her generosity, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.

The family invites you to honor Sharon's memory by sharing a meal with loved ones, cheering for the Chiefs, or simply keeping your door - and your heart - open, just as she always did.
