LAGRANGE - Sharon L. Heare, 80, of LaGrange, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at The Waters of LaGrange.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1944, in Kendallville, Indiana, daughter of the late Arnold and Ruth Lucile (Carney) Andersen.
A 1962 graduate of Topeka High School, Sharon continued her education at Ivy Tech, where she earned her associate's degree in accounting.
She worked for many years at Starcraft Inc., in Topeka, as an assistant in the shipping department, where her dedication and reliability were highly valued.
Sharon was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, where she found joy in serving and spent many years singing in the choir. Her faith was central to her life, and she loved being involved in the church community.
She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and giving her time and energy to support causes close to her heart. Sharon devoted more than 25 years to the 4-H Dog Club, earning a special 25-year service pin for her commitment to helping young people learn and grow through the program.
Surviving are her daughter, Angela Drake, of LaGrange; three sisters, Karen Warfel, of Muncie, Indiana, Kathleen Garner, of Angola, Indiana, and Jeanne Andersen, of Wolcottville, Indiana; and a brother, John (Lori) Andersen, of Wabash, Indiana.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to The Waters of LaGrange and Parkview Home Health & Hospice for the love and exceptional care shown to Sharon.
Memorial donations in Sharon's honor may be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 797 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, IN 46761.
