Wilma Sharon Hilliard, 81, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2025, in Temple, TX.
Sharon was born to Oscar B. Graham and Susie Senter Boykin Graham in Zavalla, Texas, on August 18, 1943.
Her family moved to Temple, TX while she was young, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Temple High School. On October 1, 1982, she married her husband of 37 years, Donald Hilliard, where they enjoyed quiet country living on their farm in Little-River Academy. She could often be found outside, whether it be working cattle or working in their garden. She worked for Bell County in the County Clerk’s office and enjoyed her time there until retiring in 2000. Her greatest pride and joy were her family, which grew to include 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She loved nothing more than supporting her kids and grandkids through the years attending band performances, livestock shows, sporting events, and family functions.
She is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Susie Graham, her husband Donald Hilliard, brothers Bertis Graham and O.B. Graham Jr., and sisters Lela Colwell, Audrey Nerren, and Bertha Thompson.
She is survived by her brothers Stewart Graham and Larry Graham, sons Greg Clark and wife Carrie and John Hilliard and wife Leslie; daughters Kim Umhoefer and husband Darrell and Cheryl Lee and husband Cade; grandchildren: Taylor Clark, Madison Clark, Parker Clark, Austin Clark, Lizzie Hilliard, David Hilliard, Zach Umhoefer and wife Madeline, Tyler Umhoefer and wife Abigail, Savannah Grandusky and husband Ryan, Vince Van Dam and wife Abigail, and Kenny Van Dam and wife Madison; great grandchildren: Amelia Umhoefer, Elizabeth Umhoefer, Axel Van Dam, and Wesley Van Dam.
Services will be held at Temple Bible Church on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chase Bowers officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, March 14 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple from 5-7 p.m.
