Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sharon Ann (Palmer) Hoffman, passed away peacefully in her home on December 28, 2024, at the age of 86. Sharon was born on April 13, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clarence R. and Nora Carter Palmer. At the age of three, her family moved to Evanston, Wyoming, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Sharon graduated from Evanston High School in 1956, where she was part of a close-knit group of friends, fondly referred to as "the top ten."

In 1956, Sharon married Larry Hoffman on December 1st, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Sharon was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated much of her life to service. She held various positions, including Primary teacher, Primary President, Stake Primary Counselor, Stake Primary President, and Ward Relief Society President.

Sharon is survived by her five children: Craig (Lisa) of Chandler, AZ, Mark (Iryna), Dan (Donna) both of Evanston, Linda (Rick) Sanchez of Evanston, and Julie (Mark) Lube of Hailey, ID. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Brandon Hoffman, Shelly Hoffman, Melissa Bomar, Derek Hoffman, Desi Williams, Seth Sanchez, Kory Hoffman, Andrea Sanchez, Kelsie Bardsley, Megan Lube, Bree Sanchez, Nic Lube, and 14 great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Clarence R. and Nora Carter Palmer; and her siblings, Jeanine Eastman and Jerry Palmer.

Throughout her life, Sharon was dedicated to her family and home. She was an excellent cook and took great joy in preparing holiday meals. Sharon was also passionate about bowling, having bowled in women’s leagues for over 58 years, serving in various league offices, and competing in state and regional tournaments. She was also involved in organizing EHS class reunions and was a grantor of scholarships for the EHS Alumni Association for many years.

Sharon’s hobbies included reading, embroidery, and spending time with her close friends at “card club” every month for over 68 years. Her beautiful, embroidered dishtowels were a family treasure, shared as gifts each Christmas. Sharon’s legacy is one of love, service, and dedication to her family and community.
