Sharon Ulricka Hurdle

Sharon Ulricka Hurdle passed away on May 28, 2025. The daughter of Patricia and Vernon P. Hurdle was born at Wiesbaden AFB, Germany in 1968 while her father was stationed there. She graduated from Azle High School, in Azle, Texas in 1986, after attending Azle schools for all twelve years.

Sharon has held many different occupations over the years, but was currently employed by PL Marketing, setting grocery stores for Kroger.

She was most at ease with spending time with her family and friends. She was known for being willing to giving the shirt off of her back to assist a stranger in need. When her brother David became ill, she immediately moved in with him to assist him with his every need. She was also known for her fondness for animals and most recently was not often seen without her faithful companion Rusty, her much beloved golden labradoodle.

Sharon is survived by aunt, Linda Young; brother, Vernon Hurdle and Cristi; nephews, Steven Hurdle and Erin, and Mathew Hurdle and Allison; nieces,Timborah, Jacqueline Johnson and Everett, and Victoria; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. 

She was predeceased by parents, Vernon P. and Patricia Hurdle; brother, David Hurdle; and sister, Deborah Lynn Benson.

The family will be holding a service at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 5643 F.M. 933, Whitney, Texas 76692 on Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 AM.
