Sharon Kruckeberg

Sharon Lorene Kruckeberg, age 86, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Dublin Methodist Hospital. A fully loving and dedicated mother and wife, and servant of God. Graduate of both Hilliard High School, and Otterbein University with a degree in Education in 1966. She began her career teaching third-grade and with additional education and certification transitioned to help students with severe behavioral and learning-disabilities; most of her time serving in the Hilliard school system. She absolutely loved children and teaching, and her students loved her. In college she had a children's television program on WOSU called "The Five and Ten" show. Around the same time frame, during the Christmas season she was known as "Sherry Snowflake" assisting Santa Claus in events with kids. With a deep faith in the Lord, she is a longtime member of Riverside Bible Church, and had also helped teach Sunday school at Christ Memorial many years ago. She loved to water ski, swim, ice skate, plant flowers and go to the beaches in Florida and South Carolina. Always positive and encouraging, with a bright, warm smile to share with everyone. Love and cheerful would describe her personality. She loved to laugh and wanted you to enjoy laughing, too; and a notorious joker, especially with her many gag props. She was devoted to the Lord, her family, her friends and students.

Preceded in death by parents, Lee and Lorene Washburn. Survived by, husband of 56 years, Don, children, Karen Waugh and Scott Kruckeberg, brother, Larry (Carol) Washburn (Shawn and Debbie), brother-in-law Jim (Carrol) Kruckeberg, many close friends and high school classmates, numerous other families, and friends. Memorial service December 01, 11 AM, with lunch following, at Riverside Bible Church, 5330 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43235.
