Sharon Frances LaVallee, 81, born September 18, 1943 in Delano, California has passed peacefully June 16, 2025 in Provo, Utah
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen and husband Paul Crandall; sister, Betty Hudson; two grandchildren; one granddaughter-in-law; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lina Grimes; brother, Ronald Grimes; and sister-in-law, Sandra Grimes.
Sharon lived a full life and experienced a variety of lifestyles and experiences. She grew up in the vineyards of a small farming community, was a beautician, bookkeeper, co-owned a family auto repair and flight training business, and worked simultaneously for other businesses.
She had a keen eye “treasure hunting” and valued what others no longer needed. She would open antique stores in Visalia and Morro Bay, California, making the central California coast her home for many years. Eventually, she joined her daughter and son-in-law to live in Idaho, Colorado, Texas, and lastly, Utah.
Sharon never met a stranger. Her ability to start a conversation and remember all was a remarkable trait. She continued to work in each community, finding fellowship and friendships in the people she served each day. She spoke often of the joy this brought to her life.
To honor Sharon’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A visitation will be held at Probst Funeral home 79 East Main Street, Midway, Utah on Thursday, June 26 from 4-6pm for those who wish to pay their respects.
