Sharon LeBegue

Sharon Elaine LeBegue, 87, passed away on November 21, 2025 at Five Star Residences of Lafayette.
Sharon was born on July 13, 1938 in Brookston, Indiana to the late Alva L. and Kathryn N. (Schneider) Mansfield. Her marriage was to Arthur P. LeBegue. He passed away on September 11, 2012. She graduated from Brookston H.S. and attended Ball State University. Professionally, Sharon worked in payroll and administration for General Foods in Lafayette for many years. She managed an apartment complex in West Lafayette. In addition, she worked at the famous McCord's Candies later in life. Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church in Lafayette. She was an excellent Bridge player and was a member of a bridge club for several years. She was a "green thumb" and loved gardening and her plants. She thoroughly enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed tailgating at Purdue football games and was a loyal fan to Purdue Women's Basketball, and a very proud golfer. She loved spending time with her family, friends and pets. She will be deeply missed.
Sharon is survived by her children, Stephen (Laurie) LeBegue of Brookston, Tracy (Melvin) Stoll of Springfield, Illinois, Kurt LeBegue of Lafayette; siblings, Arlene Childers of Lafayette and Terry Mansfield of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jessica, Danny, Ashley, Audrey, Deanna, Nathan, Kelsey, and Kinzey; eleven great-grandchildren; and her special cat, Harry P. Sharon was preceded in death by sibling Barry Mansfield
Visitation will take place at 12:00 PM, December 1, 2025 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 PM, December 1, 2025 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 N. 9th Street in Lafayette. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
