Sharon Elaine Mack, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at the age of 83, in Mount Angel, Oregon.
Sharon was born on October 7, 1942, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Randolph and Westanna (Lane) Grocott. She ended up in Oregon, where she spent most of her life surrounded by family, friends, and the familiar comforts of the community she loved.
In 1963, Sharon married Michael Mack at Immaculate Conception Church in Stayton. The two first met while cruising the Salem “Gut,” a favorite pastime of local young people in those days. Their marriage was one built on love, laughter, and shared adventures that spanned decades.
Sharon had a warm and generous spirit. She loved playing bunco with friends, cooking for loved ones, and sharing stories that made everyone around her smile. A devoted Elvis Presley fan, Sharon’s joy for music and life was infectious. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless light into her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael; her parents, Randolph and Westanna; and her son, Gerald Mack.
Sharon is survived by her children, Deborah (Jeff) Hofmann and Michael (Pamela) Mack; grandchildren Chanielle, Jerrica, Kassidy, Ross, Elizabeth, and Daphne; and great-grandchildren Waylon, Rowan, Gracelynn, Ayden, Kaydence, Titus, Malakai, Leo, and Josie.
Sharon will be remembered for her loving heart, her laughter, and the warmth she shared so freely with everyone she met. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and that her spirit will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
