Sharon Michaels Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. on May 14, 2025.
Sharon Ann (Sacks) Michaels
1944 – 2025
With heavy hearts, the family of Sharon Ann (Sacks) Michaels announces her passing on May 13 at the age of 80 after an extended illness. Sharon was predeceased by her parents Esther (Lavner) Sacks and Harold Sacks.
Sharon is survived by her beloved partner of more than 40 years, Carleton "Yo" Davis; her loving son Lindsey Michaels and wife Stacey; and their three wonderful sons, Evan, Mackenzie, and Reeve. She is also survived by her adoring brother Alan Sacks and sister-in-law Dianne (Atlanta, Ga.). Sharon also leaves behind Carl's children, Danny Davis (Albany, N.Y.), Karyn Davis, Melissa Giambrone, and Michael Davis, all of whom shared a special bond with her. Sharon will also be missed by her former husband and friend Robert Michaels and partner Helene Bailey.
Sharon will be remembered by scores of family members, close friends, and friends-in-passing, all of whom she touched with her unique gift for making everyone feel heard. Known for her quick wit, insightful advice, and unwavering loyalty, Sharon believed that offering friendship and kindness to family, friends, and strangers alike was God's most important work-and she lived that truth every day.
Sharon was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. and was a proud graduate of West Irondequoit High School. She lived a full life, dedicating herself to a challenging career in the legal field. Sharon worked for several law firms throughout the Rochester area as a legal secretary. Her professionalism and ability to connect with clients on a personal level made her an asset to each practice and a much-loved co-worker. Sharon retired from the law offices of Edwin R. Schulman, Esq. in Rochester. Sharon also channeled her natural talent for connecting with people into a career in real estate, earning her real estate license and working at Michaels Realtors in Pittsford for many years.
But above everything, Sharon's greatest love in life was becoming a mother to her son Lindsey, a role she cherished with all her heart. They were always best friends. Sharon also embraced the opportunity to help Carl raise his children, supporting them as her own with long talks, great advice, and lots of laughter. Her joy multiplied when she became a grandmother to "her boys." Sharon spoiled them with hugs, gum, and Pokémon cards. They enjoyed spending time with her at the park, swimming in the backyard pool (do not get her hair wet!), and playing games at The Clubhouse Fun Center. Family was the center of her world.
Sharon had an unmistakable sense of style and personality as bright as her favorite travel destination, Florida. She loved traveling with Carl to Florida to visit his family, spending time on the beach, and indulging her eye for fashion by scouring the flea market and malls for blinged-out tops, jackets, and many, many purses. Sharon always sparkled with her great flair for fashion.
Sharon's memory will be a blessing to all who knew her. She touched countless lives with her laughter, her wisdom, and her ability to lift people up when they needed it most.

To a very old and Dear Friend who for some reason time and geography ,separated., please accept my deepest Sympathy on your passing. My only wish is that somehow I could of reached out sooner. So many memories of our youth together and being a bridesmaid at your Wedding to Bob. I remember the birth of Lindsay and how happy you were when you had him. My gosh how time flies. To Lindsay I'm so sorry for your family on the loss of your Mother she was a great friend of mine a long time ago. Somehow I'm sure she wanted me to know that is why I looked her up. May God rest her soul and may you all accept my deepest sympathy on her passing. Love, Sondra Samuels,Abrams Agoura Hills California
