VAUGHNSVILLE -- Sharon I. Mull, 82, of Vaughnsville, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 24, 1942, in Lima to the late Ray and Inez (Becker) Bowersock. On November 10, 1963, she married Michael Ray Mull, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2015.
She is survived by four children; Kathy (Dennis) Recker of Columbus Grove, Jeff Mull of Vaughnsville, James (Genelle) Mull and Janel Hardeman, both of Columbus Grove; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Henline.
Sharon attended St. Rita's School of Nursing, Lima from 1960 to 1963. She spent most of her career as an RN at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, later a state nursing home inspector, infirmary nurse at Oakwood Corrections in Lima and finally RN for Wapakoneta Nursing Home, where she retired. She was a member of Lima First Missionary Church, where she played the piano and sang in the choir. While being a resident at Kessler Estate, one of her favorite hobbies was playing the piano for everyone to enjoy. In addition to playing the piano, Sharon also loved flowers, hummingbirds and puppy dogs.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, 916 East Main St., Ottawa with Rev. Dr. Timothy White officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
